The companies of the ORUM group took part in the annual presentation of the research "Digitalization in Transport Business"

On October 31, at the office of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, a presentation was held about the annual study “Industry Control”, which this year was dedicated to the digitalization of transport infrastructure. The research was made possible with the support of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Deloitte and IT-Enterprise, as well as the Center for Transport Strategies.

The study involved enterprises which control up to 90% of the total cargo flow in Ukraine: port and railway operators, shippers, freight forwarding, agency and warehouse companies. The speakers from the ORUM group included heads of the «Seaside Terminal» and «Marconi» companies, who shared their experience and impressions on the topic of software integration.

As noted by the CEO of the ORUM Group, Sergey Pinkas: “Digitalization in transport is not a matter of perspective, but a modern day necessity, and the existence of a business will depend upon the decisions made in the sphere. Thanks to the introduction of a specially designed program that takes into account all the nuances of cargo transportation and the requirements posed by the cargo owners for this process, the «Seaside Terminal» company, for example, was able to multiply the efficiency several times for each locomotive, which helped to speed up the processing of train cars, thereby reducing costs and increasing profits."

By the way, more than 82% of the respondents who took part in the survey confirm this thesis, believing that digitalization also means a reduction in risks with which businesses have to deal on a daily basis.
