In the Mykolaiv port, the company owns a modern grain transshipment terminal, and only last year the Ukrainian branch of the corporation exported over 3 million tons of agricultural and reprocessed products through the Mykolaiv port. The company is not going to stop at what it has accomplished so far: taking into account the dynamics of the grain market in Ukraine, the cargo traffic is planned to increase all the way up to 5 million tons.

COFCO International has been in cooperation with the “Service-Trans” company (a member of the ORUM group) for almost 2 years. Representatives of the Ukrainian company went to Istanbul at the invitation of the Turkish side.

Particular attention was drawn to the economic particulars of ship calls, the possibility of adjusting port fees, increasing cargo traffic in the port, etc.

The need for such a meeting was particularly noted by the Head of the Operations Department for the Panamax-class vessels, Mr. Semih Kahraman: “The constantly increasing volume of grain exports from Ukraine poses new challenges for the entire COFCO International team. And it is especially important for us to know that partners such as the “Service-Trans” company are ready to accept them”.

Serhiy Postolnik, CEO of the “Service-Trans” company, assured the Turkish side of the Ukrainian team’s readiness for the growing freight traffic volumes and about the professionalism of its specialists.
